Marketing Director

The Marketing Director is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and managing the whole marketing strategy. As we are a small team, the Marketing Director role will have more responsibilities such as: 

  • Coming up with the digital marketing plan that includes ads, social media marketing and more
  • Develop and implement an SEO strategy
  • Create Written content for all marketing
  • Create assets for all marketing and branding

Additionally, they will be measuring our ROI and KPI’s and prepare and manage our digital marketing budget.

Product Manager

Our Product Manager will be important in how we set our vision and strategy. They will: 

  • Fully ideate the final product – how it will function, how it will look – based on understanding what the actual problems are that you are trying to solve

They will work with the Marketing Director to best implement marketing activities through research, strategic planning and implementation. Our Product Manager will deliver the operating plan. 

UI/Web Designer

As a UI/Web Designer, I will be responsible for the visual and interactive elements of the digital product interface, ranging from typography and colour palettes to navigational touch points. As our UI/Web Designer, I will be need to have some Graphic Design experience as the responsibilities include: 

  • Create branding for the product – including a logo and complete style guide
  • Design the final prototypes to pass to the person who will code the app

I will be working closely with the UX Designer for wireframes and protoypes, we will be creating a responsive design. 

Technical Team Lead

As we only have a small team, the front-end and back-end development position will need to be combined, so our Technical Team Lead position requires extensive knowledge in both roles. 

  • Code the front of the app (what the user sees and interacts with in the browser)
  • Code the back end of the app (creates a database to pull content about different flight locations, utilizes API’s for weather and other information, etc)

On top of the development roles, the Technical Team Lead will apply architectural skills in ensuring that the system is continuously improving and evolving. 

UX Designer

UX Designer will be responsible for the smoothness and ease for our users interactions on our app. We need the users to have a seamless experience, as this app is updated 24/7 and is responsive. Interaction Design and User Research are key components to this role. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Create wireframes (which show what will be on each page in the app) and prototypes (interactive drafts of the app that people can try out
  • Conduct user testing with a group of pilot participants to find out if the app is easy to use and solves the problems you think it should solve  

In addition, the UX Designer will work closely with the UI/Web Designer and our developer to ensure our app is functional and easy to use.
