SaaS – Peloton
John Foley felt like he got more out of his instructor-led workouts when he self-led at the gym. This is where his idea began back in 2011. Using a prototype bike, he began a Kickstarter video to gain momentum and create awareness. Slowly building momentum, one bike in a house at a time, Peloton started to gain its most traction and popularity when gyms closed down during lockdown at the beginning of Covid-19 pandemic. Selling not only a bike, but now a treadmill and other exercise equipment. By providing a monthly membership of instructor-led home exercises, Peloton has created a community of like-minded individuals where they can connect and be inspired to get healthy. Their revenue is made up from the selling of equipment and a monthly subscription to their instructor-led videos. You can get your first month free of classes to see if they work for you first.
